How to use tasks to obtain information about spatial
features
Finding a Tourist Facility

Select Tourist Facility by
Category Tasks
·
Select applicable category
from drop down list - , for example accommodation
·
Enter Name of Facility or
enter portion of name with %
o Options
available

Beach Hotel – will return one record

Result for this task
through

·
Click on related
information – this will display additional information about the facility

How
to zoom, pan or remove a task
·
After
doing a search or adding results from Identify, an item will be added to
Results.
If you do another search or add another result from
Identify, the new results items are added to the top of the list in Results.
Previous items remain in the list.

To
see information associated with a Location or Find result, click the plus
symbol
to
the left of the item.
·
When
you expand a results item, you will see one or more layer names. Expand
a layer to see the features found within that layer at the location. Features
are listed using the value of the first string field in the attributes.

To
see details for a feature, click its plus symbol
and this will display attribute field names
and values for the feature.
·
Right-click with mouse on an item in Results will
open the following dialog with 3 options – zoom,
pan or to remove a task. Left-click
with the mouse to perform applicable function, for example to zoom to the
feature found

Zoom
to selected results will zoom to features
when finding more than one results, for example all Tourist Facilities
containing Beach in Summerstrand. Click next to the
box where showing Tourist Facilities

Zoom
to will zoom to the applicable feature
queried – click on facility name for example The Beach Hotel. After zoomed to a
blue pin will appear on selected feature– in this example - The Beach Hotel.
·
To pan, rerun or remove a
task follow similar steps as explained above
